Members of NHS Survival have begun face-to-face meetings with MPs to discuss the call for a Royal Commission for the NHS.
As part of an ongoing lobbying campaign members of NHS Survival have begun meetings with MPs in Westminster. This comes on the back of a successful written lobbying campaign to all MPs asking for support for a cross-party independent Royal Commission to look into a sustainably funded and adequately staffed NHS.
Over the coming weeks meetings with MPs from all parties will be taking place with NHS Survival members. We are focussing on the key influencers on health care policy and MPs with track records on improving health care in partnership with professionals and patients.
NHS Survival is leading the way in pushing for a cross-party independent plan for the NHS by meeting with MPs. We are calling for more public support to help the lobbying campaign. The NHS Survival website has a free and simple lobbying platform available to all registered users. Members of the public can easily e-mail their MP or any Peer from the House of Lords and lend their voice to the campaign for a Royal Commission.
NHS Survival chief policy advisor Dr Mohsin Khan said "The idea of a Royal Commission for the NHS is gaining traction, both in the public arena and on the political stage. It is crucial to keep the momentum going by emailing all our MPs, especially with the upcoming Westminster debate on contracts and conditions on Monday 14th September."
